CEREC with MCXL
The term CEREC is an acronym for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. With help from computer aided design (CAD) and computer aided manufacturing (CAM), your dentist can take an impression, send it to our onsite milling machine, and create a crown for a cracked, chipped, or otherwise dysfunctional tooth in a single appointment. The MXCL technology makes it possible to create abutments, bridges, and surgical guides in addition to the crowns, inlays, onlays, and veneers we can create with CEREC.
Cone Beam Computed Technology (CBCT)
The CBCT X-ray machine allows our dentists to obtain images that they would not be able to see otherwise. It produces three-dimensional (3D) images of the bone, dental structures, oral nerve paths, and soft tissues for each patient. It is fast, painless, and provides your dentist with exceptional image quality to aid in your treatment planning.
Global Endodontic Microscope
When you need a dental restoration such as a crown, inlay, onlay, or veneer, the global endodontic microscope makes it easier for your dentist to prepare margins. It is also highly efficient at detecting dental carries and other issues due to its advanced magnification capabilities. The Global Endodontic Microscope also allows our dentists to shape gum tissue around implants and for gingival contouring.
Intraoral Camera
Your dentist can obtain significant detail about your teeth, gums, jaws, and tissues by using an intraoral camera. The images go directly to an attached monitor to allow you and your dentist to review them immediately. The use of an intraoral camera allows for a highly accurate diagnosis as well as monitoring of oral health conditions that do not require immediate intervention but likely will at some point in the future.
iTero
The iTero Intraoral Scanner is a highly precise way for your dentist to obtain images using laser and optical scanning. This allows for a high degree of accuracy without needing to use powder or putty to obtain a dental impression. For patients with a strong gag reflex, the fact they do not need to hold a messy dental tray in their mouth comes as a welcomed improvement. Scanning takes less than five minutes to complete.
Picasso Light Laser
Using this laser instrument, your dentist can remove inflamed gum tissue, gum tissue covering a wisdom tooth, tooth enamel, and much more. The Picasso Light Laser is also useful in several cosmetic dentistry procedures such as teeth whitening, repair or replacement of filling material, and crown lengthening. Besides the ability to perform each procedure in less time, the benefit of laser dentistry is that it produces virtually no bleeding because the device encourages the blood to clot immediately.
